HERE is the problem -- in the demented world of the modern day liberal, they are incapable of "respectfully disagree[ing]".
If you do not agree with them on EVERYTHING and pass every liberal purity test then you are RACIST, homophobic, transphobic, xenophobic, misogynistic, Islamophobic, white supremacist (even if you aren't white), who LITERALLY deserves to suffer the most excruciating death that man can ever devise.

That’s really only the case online and for politicians desperate for soundbites. The vast majority of liberals I actually interact with can respectfully disagree just fine (just as the vast majority of conservatives I interact with do). The internet has just made some of us forget that.
