Can anyone help with seating? Fractured knee and crutches.

Husband fractured his knee skiing last Sunday. Doc said we could go to the game and just use his crutches as it can’t get any worse.

That said is the lower 100s better or would the 200 mezz level be accessible?

Don’t need handicapped seating — just easier access.

Thanks.

(We had been waiting to buy tickets and husband still wants to go — yes we’re nuts but doc said ok so ...)

Working your way into the stadium will probably be more of a challenge than getting to your seat. Should be good as long as he can get on the escalators.

Thanks. Hadn’t been to the knee dome so have no clue. He’s not “supposed” to walk on it but he doesn’t always listen well.

Appreciate the help.

From my SECCG experience . . .

There are interior escalators. Any level would be fine. I would focus on getting a lower row seat in whatever section you choose so that there are fewer steps to climb once you emerge from the entry chute for your section.

Also, he will have a shorter walk if y'all sit on the Oklahoma side. That's the side nearer to the gates. (At least the main gates that face GWCC and the Staples Center / MARTA. There may be gates on the LSU side for all I know, but they'd be on the backside of the stadium.)

If you get to the stadium and have issues getting to your seat, go to a Guest Services rep and they will help out. Seats are held for situations like this.

You definitely need to get there early. There are only 3 gates and lots of security so it was a giant mass of people trying to get in at the SECCG. Can't imagine that is easy to navigate on crutches.

Get doc to give a handicapped permit to him.
This will help with flying, hotel, and stadium access. I'd bring a wheelchair. Seriously, crutches are a huge issue in stadiums like that

Hate to disappoint, but based on my SECCG experience I wouldn’t attend without handicapped seating and parking at the very least. The amount of walking and steps is incredible...I would probably sit this one out....

So the end zone right above the lower level has an open area with tables and chairs and you are looking right down at the field. Beer and food options right there too. He can stretch his leg out and will have space to move around some. They are first come first served as they sell standing room only tickets but this area has quite a few tables and chairs. I would be shocked if the stadium doesn't have a golf cart they can use to transport you once you get in.

I've made at least 20 phone calls today to check on this and "no one is available" -- will keep trying but look for assistance if he needs it. As he's not the best patient, he's not always using crutches as doc pretty much said he can't do any more damage from what they can tell at this point.

He's stubborn.

Thanks -- I'll try but I've tried calling much of the day with no answer.
