I'm going to try and make some pickles tonight. Pillage, I went ahead and just bought the mix that you suggested. No need to try and get to fancy the first try!
One question though, do you have to sterilize the jars if you are just going to put them immediately in the fridge to enjoy a couple days later? I'm new to this so forgive me if that is a dumb question!

I don't bother sterilizing if I'm making fridge pickles. I just wash the jars with soap and water and dry them out.

I always sterilize, but I also let them sit atleast 4 weeks. Don't think they would get hardly any pickling in just 2 days.
