Fyi, Rex Ryan broke it down hard on NFL countdown yesterday. They were not running under 2 man. It was some much more complex man scheme that basically says the safety MUST get outside of the numbers and the CB is solely responsible for forcing him outside and trail. Jalen Ramsey said it wasn't man 2 specifically, and Jalen Ramsey destroyed his assignment. Hell, even if it's Man 2, that is the worst man coverage I've ever seen.

Basically, Jalen Ramsey is wrong and Finley is wrong, but Finley also doesn't know specifically what defense they were running.

Seems like a dumb coverage for the D Coordinator to run on a 3rd and long. If Ramsey is supposed to be forcing the wideout to the sideline then he should be playing an inside technique and not giving up the outside and safety should be on the hash. Also the only way the CB should be on the numbers is if it’s a Cover 3 or Quarters.

So he probably shouldn't be on Twitter telling another guy he is wrong.

The wr did go outside but a simple veer to the middle left the safety about 10 yards away with no chance to cover. The safety needs to stay with him on the deep ball and not lose him like that.
