In my entire life I've never been to a thanksgiving or Christmas and heard political or religious talk. Most people used to have a bit of restraint about that silliness. Today people forget real life isn't twitter.

Being anti trump is a form of virtue signaling for females. It's like some feminine password.

No religious talk at Christmas?...Christmas is a religious celebration of the birth of Jesus

I have a 1st cousin who lives in another state. I love her dearly, but she is liberal concerning her politics. We don't ever bring up politics. She's a Bama fan, so we just argue about that. LOL!

My dad used to always tell me.. There are two things you never discuss in public "politics and religion". I stick to that rule, but in the story I told in this thread, that was an instance where I felt like someone had to say something. Its at a family Christmas party an just because no one is saying anything doesn't mean people want to keep listening to someone go on and on.

In fact, he was making it awkward for everyone. But people need to realize it is okay for people to have different views than you have and you are not going to convince people to share your views by going on and on about them..
