Funny thing, most Verizon phones at a time were unlocked and had both GSM and CDMA radios built in in addition to LTE. The only difference or issue may be with the bands as carriers in the future try to out do each other in 5G.

Now I don’t think they are as unlocked with the new payment plans most people are on now.

I have an IPhone 6, I am on the fence about switching to a newer model, but I don’t want a payment plan and spend a lot on a phone.

I feel a little jaded that I waited to long to decide on an upgrade as the IPhone 6 no longer gets credit towards a trade in. If I had an iPhone 6s, it could count as a trade in on most carriers.

I am with StraightTalk, so I am prepaid. They do have some 6s products for about 150, but if Apple keeps the same product cycle for IOS, the that 6s come next year is now the obsolete phone.
