Emotional Recap

Well, yesterday was somewhat disappointing. If for anything, because of the high expectations we had. Our program has been on cloud 9 for so long now that even a slight disappointment was sure to bring out the pessimist (we are an emotional fan base and this season has been an emotional skyrocket).
After having some time to reflect, I think that this class is not so bad and has the potential to really set us up well for the future. There is no reason to cry over spilled milk and Coach O has consistently proven that he is willing to do whatever it takes to improve in areas he is weak (in this case, being too trustworthy of commits).
So, let's look at the rest of this class and what we need:
OL-Van Pran/Tykiest Crawford
S - No clue here but we need a good safety to continue our spoiled tradition
RB - Not too worried about this one
WR - We have depth so maybe get an athletic freak with huge potential upside
DL -M Jackson - not confident after the "staying home" theme from yesterday
Transfer/Burch - Go all out for Burch with the idea that if mom wins out then we leave that spot open for potential transfer
That might not give us the #1 class but that would give us about as perfect of a scenario as possible for specifically filling our needs.

No disagreement from me. I wanted to leave a little wiggle room because you never know how everyone turns out.

The disappointment surfaces because of the stigma surrounding O, his prior coaching history, and his perceived lack of intelligence when compared to coaches who have won multiple NC and continue to affect the college landscape.
This is recruiting where we can sometimes have almost perfect information and it's a consensus Orgeron miscalculated but still has time to clean up the mess.

Stigma?? What are you talking about. This is LSUs best class ever. Y'all come back to reality. The program is on an upward trend in recruiting, winning etc.
Geaux Tigers!!

I am not going to say rude things to you but your post is off. This is a great class with 5/6 spots left to fill. Many casual recruiting fans (sounds like you may be one) are over-reacting to missing out on a few highly rated kids. We gained Dumervril and Webb yesterday. These 2 guys are much bigger needs than any kids we lost out on! This is a great class!

Consensus from who? A bunch of ignorant fans that show themselves for a few days at this time of year? The majority of posts on this board have been ridiculous the past 24 hours. You post is one of them. Geaux away!

Wtf. So there are exactly two coaches that have won multiple NC and are still@ active.
Orgeron and LSU have gone 13 and 0 and got in the playoff with an average offensive line and a very average defensive line.
The Oline and Dline talent level will better 2020 and forward.
Anyway don’t care about your negative perception of Orgeron or the SEC regional people either

Not really sure how people are spinning this as a negative post. I was trying to make a comment on the overreaction and why, after the dust settled, this class is really good with the potential to turn out great.

I guess I was responding to you saying the day was somewhat disappointing. We have the #4 class with a good number of spots left to fill. Getting Dummervil and Webb were better news than the flips. I love this class.

I gotcha. I am disappointed that we didn't land Burch but I agree that this will be a successful class.
