re: Victims of Toronto mass shooting using S&W

I’m sure the push on here is one or both of the following-

1. Make “smart” firearms mandatory as to raise the price of weapons to make them unaffordable

2. “Smart” firearms will either be wholly unreliable, preventing someone from lawfully defending themselves, or will be required to have some form of override that inactivates them in the presence of a signal


The overall effect of either would be to disarm civilians en masse.
