You are a jackass if you don’t recognize the human condition or optics of that situation. That portion of the speech about Coach O will help for years and solidify what he is trying to build. If you think kids aren’t swayed by that kind of sincerity, or at the very least their parents aren’t, then I feel sorry for you my friend.

Winning the Heisman, like winning the National Championship, certainly has a positive effect on recruiting. But the former, unlike the latter, has a very small effect.
LSU fans are maudlin about Joe's Heisman, but it's not a bigger deal around the rest of the country than the each of the last ten Heismans. When Johnny Manziel won the Heisman did Aggie start recruiting lights out?
