I'd like to point out in this thread also that you can actually request early departure from a service obligation if you win the friggin lottery and with pretty rare exception, you'll receive your waiver.

Too many people up in here acting like the world is gonna fall about if what, maybe 20 guys a decade get to go pro and delay their service? Sheesh.

And, basically NO ONE is contemplating the reality that the military can absolutely get benefit from having someone who ends up a successful pro.

As I pointed out earlier. The friggin Army spend TONS of money to sponsor a fricking car in NASCAR for Chrissakes. And, make no mistake, having an NFL starter beats having your name plastered on a fricking car.
