One of the reasons I went to the cinema a second time was that I convinced Mrs. Midnight she would enjoy it. She's not the biggest QT fan. She appreciates Pulp Fiction and enjoyed IB and the first Kill Bill, but does not care for Dogs or Jackie Brown.

So, I explained to her, "This is a period piece about Hollywood, the end of the 1960s/hippie era and functions as sort of a love letter by Tarantino to the idealized/romanticized Hollywood of his youth. It isn't really a Tarantino film at all, except for the feet, until the last few minutes and then it really, really is."



I was right and she likes the movie.
