This morning is the only time I wish I had one.
It’s -20 degrees outside and I had to get to my garage to start the car, let it warm and run back inside.

I've put remote starters on 3 cars. They have cheaper options that are only remote start, probably around $150-200 installed. You can also get a security system(like viper installed) that has remote start/two way remote for like $400. It works up to like 1/2 mile away,

My Jeep came with remote start, and trust me, it’s just as handy when it’s 100 degrees outside and hot as blazes, to be able to crank up the AC in your vehicle a couple minutes before you get in.
Remote start is probably the most essential car option that i didnt even know i needed, until i had it.
