I frequently remember my dreams. Most are based on reality. They usually seem to lag about 2 weeks behind whatever I’m doing. Most are usually set at my parents’ house, or even if they’re not supposed to be there, the layout is identical. I attribute this to the format of my dreams being my friends, siblings, and I mostly playing make-believe in the yard or around the house.

Some dreams are scary, usually involving me being chased or in an out of control vehicle flying off a cliff. Some are annoying, like pee dreams, or ones where I am with a girl on a date, but my parents keep intervening. Sometimes they’re fun, where I am able to fly or go on fun adventures. Often, though, they’re just as tedious and boring as real life.

I had a couple dreams last night that I remember pretty well:
In one dream, I was sitting at the kitchen counter at my parents' house with them and my oldest brother. I was just sitting there eating while my brother and my parents argued over which jobs he should apply for. For some reason, they wanted him to apply for a job in Houma. When I was living with my parents last year, this was a frequent topic of discussion, so the only weird thing was Houma.

In another one, I asked out a girl that is an acquaintance in real life, she said yes, and we planned for our first date to be going to a metal concert in New Orleans where a friend's band was on the lineup, her idea. I was a little hesitant, at first, since I wanted something where it would be easier for us to talk so I could get to know her better, but I accepted since my friend's band is pretty solid. The dream seemed plausible since all the bands on that bill, including my friend's band, are real and I have seen that girl at that band's shows in the past.
