It's just becoming too expensive. If I were a father of two and had a wife, I would have to spend $60 on movie tickets alone. Factor in popcorn, drinks, and candy and you're looking at roughly $100 just to go see a movie on a Friday or Saturday night.
Compare that with paying $7.99 to stream the same film on my 70" at home, where food and drinks are already bought and paid for.
