re: seeking ideas for a home made push pole for flatboat

i figured how hard could it be to grab a pole and put a flat end on it

im thinking its only going to need to be like 10ft or so since im siting on the front deck seaty using it and not up on a platform.

i hadnt thought of some of the issues you guys raised so i'll probably give it a try with a treated 2x2 instead of pvc. it wont last as long but it wont bend as easy
