I think it all boils down to the fact that LSU has pro-caliber skill position players running a pro-caliber offense, and Coach E and Coach Brady find the weaknesses (physical and mental) of a few key defensive players that every college defense has, and exploits those players mercilessly.

Even when defenses take everything away on a given play, Burrow can buy time in the pocket and wait for someone to come open, or simply run to the open spaces caused by so many receivers being out in their routes.

What's interesting (and really impressive) to me is the fact that defense can't stop LSU from owning the middle of the field. It's what LSU wants to do (and does best), and it can't be stopped.
