I hear what you’re saying but, at minimum, a horn is very useful if you’re in someone’s blind spot and, not seeing you, they attempt to merge over. Just a quick tap has always been enough to alert them and no one gets angry.

Maybe horns should have a limiter of some type where only a quick honk is allowed. It’s the length of the horn honk that is the issue in most rage cases imo.
