Both teams are 10-2, Cincinnati is #20 in the CFP rankings, UL is unranked. Taking a look at Cincinnati's schedule and UL's schedule, why is one getting so much more respect, was Cinci's UCF win really that good? The Cajuns have a +252 point differential vs +100 for the Bearcats. I don't like SP+, but if we're going to use that, ULL is ranked 32 and UC is 39

Did you take a look at those Sun Belt teams, complete garbage other than the one they lost to (App St) ?

I was thinking the same thing. The SP+ is a good factoid. Cincy is ranked as it is because they played [and lost] to OSU. That's it....close shop.

Ga Southern won @ App and nearly beat Minnesota (I don't like quality losses, but it did happen). The Cajuns dominated GSU on the road.

Cincinnati is ranked because they went 10-1 (until Memphis loss) and the CFP didn't really know what else to do with them. However, anyone who has watched them knows they are a mediocre football team barely getting by bad teams.

Honestly I'd take the Cajuns even at Cinci, they've been a great road team

ok then compare SMU and Cincinnati. Remember when SMU lost their first game of the season by 6 points to Memphis.... NO LONGER ranked. 1 loss to the same team and they couldn't break the top 25... Now Cinci has 2 losses with one being to Memphis by 10. and they are ranked 20th. PLEASE SOMEONE RIDDLE ME THAT.

Cinci is getting much more respect because they are in a much better conference and have done this 2 years in a row now.

Cinci's win over UCF May not be “really good” But it’s way better than any win ULL has.

Yeah SMU also has a better point differential than UC and should be ranked ahead of Cincinnati

Umm, the AAC is much, much, much better than the Sun Belt right now.

Yes it is. The AAC is closer to the ACC and PAC-12 than it is to the Sunbelt.

I think the team getting the shaft in all of this is Appalachian State. There is no way that they should be ranked below Cincinnati.

You forgot Cincy lost 42-0 to Ohio State. It was a great loss.

Oh and by 10 to #18 Memphis. Another great loss.

They also have some seriously strong looking wins. Narrowly escaped with victories against powerhouses like 4-8 Tulsa, 4-8 ECU, and 4-8 USF.

But not outscored, which is all that matters. Also, the Cajuns held out three or four of their best players due to injuries.

I thought the committee wasn't suppose to take this into consideration. Another made up shite they are basing the rankings off of now.
