That said, a point system won’t fly with the public unless the bracket is at least 8 big. Too much potential for an undefeated P5 to be shut out in lieu of a 1-loss conference non-champion, which would be worse than the worst the BBC ever did.

Point system can be top 8, and a committee can seed them.
