A lot of time the house is even less than that.
I see people all the time that are spending upwards of 100k combined on their vehicles, and living in a 300k house. It's weird to me, because I would much rather have a more expensive house, than vehicles

To the OP, how much you make is irrelevant, as stated earlier, it's about how much you have (basically how much you spend). I have a >1k watch, but I also saved what I give myself for discretionary spending for months before I pulled the trigger.
Don't finance jewelry, that is asinine.
