I don't know what to think anymore.
I tried to tell myself that the quarterback for ole piss is just really good and that's why our defense struggled. Who knows?

You should let a 58-37 game that LSU was in full control of f*ck with your head.

Also, you should totally forget that LSU led 28-0 at one point. It will be great mental gymnastics for you.

MSU has a very good front 7.

Part of the reason one of LSU's lowest point totals of the season was to State.

Plus, they were able to go to school on the LSU game film.

Plumlee is really not a very good QB. His speed is impressive, but look at the losses. Our D got lazy on him a couple of times. We still had a big margin, and IMO, played pretty sloppy and lazy. Took plays off. Our D is not going to wow anyone, but our margin of victory should. We played backups in a number of our games, so our season margin could be larger than it is..

I think the biggest thing to take into consideration when comparing his two performances: one game was at home where most of the production came once Ole Miss was down by 3 possessions, and the other was in cowbell central against their biggest rival trying to get bowl eligible. State had a million times more motivation last night than our defense did in the second half of essentially a blowout.

LSU has an average defense.

sometimes its great, sometimes bad ...typically average.

simple as that.

I know exactly what to think. Lsu should trade DC guys with Mississippi State lolol. Aranda sucks balls. But he pretty savvy being that he got all that money and the dude not even worth half that for a year. Aranda is not that good, look at how much points Lau gave up vs ucf in bowl game. Look at how much points Lsu gave vs vandy. That's laughable, Lsu could have easily beaten bama by 17 or possibly 24 points with a different DC for Lsu. Lsu has talented players to shut down anyone's offense in the country for less than 200 yards, yess even ole Miss, bama and everyone else. Just being not well coached on defense. Remind you that Aranda would not be retained by Clemson or bama with that showing. Lsu can do better. What kinda talent does bill Busch assistant on LSU have ? Can he lead a defense?? Or the LSU faithful assistant in Corey Raymond

MSU's front seven is better and more disciplined. I see nothing wrong with stating that. They were tough against us as well.

In addition to what has already been mentioned - it was the Egg Bowl which is their Iron Bowl. They get up for this game big time plus for MSU this was for bowl eligibility.

We gave other teams DC's material to build upon. They saw the mistakes we made and prepared for it. You can't prepare for something if you haven't seen it.

Our DL is overrated

You can blame the talent or the scheme but bottom line is, MSUs DL played fast, disciplined, and physical.

Plus, I honestly believe our D put it on cruise control after we up 3 TDs

One day people will just realize our defense is not very good. We have a mediocre defensive line, we have talented but young linebackers who are often confused and out of position, we have elite cornerbacks but our safeties are either hurt (Delpit) or they are just not good (all others). Some fault can be placed at Aranda’s feet for not having a great scheme to deal with our inadequacies, but the truth of the matter is that we’re just not as talented as we think, and the talent we do have is hurt.

Every game is different. Ole Piss had a good scheme against LSU and Aranda was slow to make corrections. Plus we overpursued and we’re sloppy in gap control. D actually played well in the first half, Part of the problem is when LSU gets big lead the D relaxes. Like O said, they need to play the full 60 minutes.

Aranda is mailing it in and our D has no leadership.

Why? Miss State has a defensive coordinator, and they don't pay him 2.5 million!!!
