They do and they don't. Academic situations affect star ratings which actually is part of the case with Hill. Once those issues are resolved then the prospect needs to be re-evaluated. But the services do that on their time frame. Overall sometimes rankings are accurate, sometimes they are not. For not the last time that is how it is regardless how the intellectually challenged feels about it.

Are you sure about that? I’m not sure that saying the name is the single factor—coaches usually won’t say anything about a specific player. They can speak in generalities about the recruiting class, as in “we’ve got some great players in this class,” but I can’t remember ever hearing a coach say something about a specific recruit.
