Doing the bar crawl thing in the district tomorrow

Where is the District? Been here 30+ years and never heard of it. Although they have been renaming shite holes all around town to make them more appealing, the District is not one of the.

Fyi, beware of 'Trinity Hills' better known as Trinity Lane... it's North Nashville and crime ridden. Then there's the 'Napier Area' aka JC Napier Projects!!!! These libtards are renaming shite holes to sell condos across the street from ghettos.

C'mon, man!

And for those saying they want to move to Nashville... no you don't! The city is broke and the state is threatening to take over their budget come Feb. 2020. Crime, especially juvenile crime, is out of control! My LE friends say half the crimes arent investigated. And the school system is as bad as it gets. Check out greatschools.org. Less than 10% of Nashville schools get a passing grade and most are failing really bad.

On a positive note, if you're single Lower Broad has plenty alcohol and fine women to go around.

EL

OH

EL

Just ignore those 200 building cranes downtown and Williamson county schools 15 miles from downtown.

Who pissed in your Wheaties? This is God's country.

Lived here 23 years now and plan to live here another 23.

This is the most “the sky is falling” post I’ve ever read on this board. Compared to BR and NOLA, Nashville is the complete opposite of shite hole. At any rate, Nashville is the most overrated city in the south when it comes to things to do. It’s hyped up because, as I mentioned, it’s not a shite hole

The "district" is the Downtown District, but I wouldn't expect a scared white-flighter like yourself to know that. Hell, there used to be "Dancin' in the District," and guess where it was? I'll give you a hint: It wasn't in Madison.

You sound like a miserable person. If the sky is falling so quickly, you should probably leave middle TN. As the lower classes get priced out of Nashville, they only have surrounding counties to escape to. Pretty soon you'll have brown neighbors.

Nashville is a great city. We've got our issues, which are the same as many other cities. We thankfully voted Briley out, and I believe Cooper has a good financial head on his shoulders, despite being a so-called "libtard" in your one-sided world view.

OP, how old are your kids? Minors make seeing live music difficult. Station Inn will let minors in if they're with you. Most music venues will be 18+ or 21. There are a few good shows I see on the city's calendar for Friday, but they'll be 21+.

If you want some less touristy places to dine, my go-to's are Miel or Eastland Cafe.

To those saying Princes > Hattie B's, you may be correct, but the OG Prince's is closed and has been closed for many months now. They have a franchise out in Antioch, but not many tourists make it out that far. Hattie B's is perfect serviceable hot chicken, but if you find yourself on the East side, hit up Pepperfire or Bolton's. Don't do the Bolton's on 8th. It's terrible compared to the Main St. location.

The best under-the-radar place to eat, IMO, is Subculture. It's not fancy and it's not close to anything, but it'd be a good spot for a lunch - especially if you're going to the zoo.

Speaking of the Zoo, they have Zoolimination going right now. It's a Chinese lantern exhibit. We went the other night and it's actually pretty awesome, but if your kids are teens they might find it lame.

Opryland has their holiday thing going on right now. It's been years since I've done it, but it was always a place I liked to take out of towners. Park next door at the mall's movie theater for free and walk over. They have the indoor ice thing, too.

There's supposed to be some Christmas lights thing going on at First Tennessee Park. I know nothing about it since it's the first year, but might be cool. LINK
