That is going to happen, especially if you are putting food waste in the compost. But the ants are good for the compost. They bring in nutrients which are beneficial.
If you just don't want them, turn the pile regularly, and they will eventually move on.

I put dog crap in there occasionally, but no food waste other than produce refuse such as orange peels, old lettuce, etc.
