10 or 15 years ago now? The left is always trying to manipulate language to advance their agenda. You're right, they are illegal aliens, nothing more or less. What annoys me is when the conservative media adopts leftist language because of the dictates of the business lobby.

It's not just the left. We've always changed language in order to change connotations.
A hundred years ago mentally retarded people were classified as morons, idiots and imbeciles. These were not slurs. They were medical terms for the levels of severity.
Now, we use 'special needs.'
