There is one government.

The administrative state runs the show.

Congressmen, senators, and the president are simply puppets of the administrative state. Congressmen/senators are salesmen to sell the agenda of the administrative state and lobbyists, and the president is a figurehead that represents the general interests of the administrative state.

Trump flipped this system upside down.

The left wingers control the unelected government.

And there’s the problem.

There’s a corps of unelected bureaucrats (made up of people like bmy) who are where they are for the simple reason that they wouldn’t be able to cut it in the private sector...which is very likely why they’re leftists in the first place. They’ve lost sight of the fact (if they ever knew it at all) that they’re supposed to be working for US, not vice versa. They have to protect what they’ve got at all costs.

It’s all going to eventually collapse under its own weight.

"They just want their "side" to win and if that means surrendering their freedoms and sovereignty then so be it."

That's not what will happen. Yes they will surrender their freedoms and sovereignty and complain worse than they do now.

But they will always have the conservatives to blame it on with a willing media to fan the flames.

The leftists always have to have a boogeyman

If you want to understand this better, watch "Yes Minister" and "Yes Prime Minister." It's a brilliant BBC show and its sequel about a minister and later PM and his staff. The principal antagonist of the show is Sir Humphrey Appleby, the Permanent Secretary of the Department of Administrative Affairs. To him, politicians come and go, but the British bureaucracy is eternal.

Sir Humphrey Appleby: The Consummate Civil Servant.

You mean the intelligence agencies that said..."Saddam has WMDs and we know where they are."?

And how foolish would W have looked if he allowed his intelligence agency to make a statement like that only to publicly refute it?

It’s a president’s job to make sure his agencies have a unified message. A president that allows his agencies to publicly assert conclusions and then instantly and publicly berate them casts doubt on agencies that are supposed to be the trustworthy enforcers of justice.

This constant, unorganized internal quibbling makes Trump’s WH look every bit as chaotic as has been reported.

Another way to put it is that Trump is the only president to be so foolish as to publicly question the conclusions of his own intelligence agencies.

You are a sheep baw. Hope it feels good!

PS I sure wish Bush had questioned his intel agencies more.

A lot less foolish than he ended up looking. And thousands of people would still be alive today.

You don’t know much about the history of our intel apparatus in this country, do you?

If you read its posts, you would see that those things don't matter.

He's one of those that would cut off his nose to spite his face if he thought it would "own the trumpsters".
