My home's Zillow estimate has fluctuated across a $60,000 range just since July.
Realtor.com estimates my home's value at 8% higher than Zillow, but the value on their site has fluctuated across a $35,000 range since July.
I don't take either of them to be very scientific.

This. A better way to get an idea is to go on realtor or any site that has the capability and view recent sales of homes. Compare all comps including size, upgrades, etc. Most of the time I've noticed once a sale is finalized the sale price is typically correct, but that's not 100 percent.
