Having them both on the court would not be good offensively or defensively
while I'm not advocating for this, nor do I think either one is a "4," I wouldn't be opposed to seeing how it works out.
my better judgement thinks is turns out poorly, but I can't say I'm not interested

Yea, Favors is way to slow to guard a 4, and A smart team would just draw Hayes out to the perimeter and either ISO him or take him out of his rim protection.
On Offense, they would be pretty easy to guard as well, unless Favors decides he wants to start knocking down corner 3's at a regular rate.

I'm not interested. I already know that you're right, and it turns out poorly.
Our offense depends on drives to the basket. We do well when Jrue, Brandon, Frank, and even NAW push the ball inside and either lay it in or kick it out.
When there are two bigs out there and neither stretches the floor, those lanes are clogged up and there's no room to drive. Our offense then consists of lazy passes around the perimeter with someone chucking up a duck as the shot clock expires.
We even saw these results in the preseason when Zion was in with another big compared to when he played the 5. There was a lot more room for Zion to drive when there wasn't another big in the way, and Zion and the team did a lot better.
