I like to call Gen X 'The 2nd greatest generation'.

Many of my Gen X friends also agree that the greatest decade of music was 1965-1975. My perception is that everyone born after 1980 does not appreciate that era of music as much as the Gen X'ers.
Or maybe my circle of friends was just cooler than others our age. We still listened to everything from 1965-1995, all of the different types of music.

I'm 40 and I think so. I remember as a kid listening to oldies music station in the car with my parents. I'm talking 50's through 70's. I still love that stuff and can sing a lot of it. It's got me laid by a few gen X girls that like it too. I've learned to love all kinds of music growing up too.
I remember being 12 and sneaking around to look at dirty magazines in stores but by 15 it was all on the internet. So many movies back then had to of been better than those today too and I'm not talking porn just main stream movies. We are so well in tune with past present and future I think. Some of us even know the future and know things we shouldn't know.
