I'm a politically active conservative who is paying no attention whatsoever to this. It's awesome, TBH. This is the first major political/governmental event of my lifetime that I'm almost entirely ignoring.

My guess is that plenty of independents are too, so while that would mean they're not tuned into the "sham" aspect - it's probably not a bad thing overall.

For anecdotal point of reference - people at my haircut place, the bar, the store, etc. were talking about Kavanaugh. There was tons of buzz about the whole saga. I hear almost nothing about impeachment, seriously.
