quote:

Turkish president is slowly withdrawing from NATO and aligning with Russia which won't end well for them.

quote:

And we have some decisions to make. Leave strategic bases there and destroy their economy which the president has threatened to do or a possible world war. This was always the nightmare and was just waiting for a radical leader like the one they have now. Now he is threatening Trump has done all he can to warn him of the consequences. "Don't be a fool and destroy your economy" is easy for anyone to understand. The Russians can't and won't feed them. The Turkish people elected a guy who has appointed himself dictator and now they will pay a price.

That Turkey was going to realign with Russia has been certain since we let Putin have his way in Georgia and the Ukraine.

Putin is willing to fight for access to the Straits of Bosporus and the US had made it clear we do not have the stomach to oppose him.

I do not blame Erdogan one bit for doing what he feels is best for Turkey if we are not going to support the region against Russia like we promised. He has no mandate to protect US interest.

He did what he had to do to put a buffer between Turkey and Syria. But the idiot has came out in him by leaving the Europeans and turning his back on America. All that was enticing in some strange fashion until everybody is eating sand. And they will. Dollar bills rule the world. So he has decided to leave his daughter of a billionaire wife whose father has his sorry arse on the payroll for a starving whore. Good luck long term with that. Putin is a hell of a salesman I guess.
