re: Report: James Bond's new wife will refuse to take his name in "No Time to Die"

I have no objection to "Bond girls" being smart/independent/etc.

Which is why, if true, this type of sanctimony is so stupid. Haven't all the recent movies featured women who managed to be hot and attracted to Bond while also resisting his advances and outsmarting him to some extent? This isn't novel, it's not like the franchise has featured flunkies for the last decade.
