Alabama’s score to get to 34 points and within 5 started at 10:07 remaining and they scored at 5:32 eating a lot of clock - the following LSU drive used 2-saved plays Alabama wasn’t ready for and ate up all but 1:37. Those 2-series defined the game IMHO

I haven't watched replay yet but a similar thought occurred to me with us winning time of possession. Eating clock in the fourth quarter was big.

Every time Bama scored, LSU answered.
Same story with Texas.
This team is special. In the biggest moments, they deliver.

And this is why it was retarded of folks on here to be screaming “just go fast”, “onoz”, “why are we slowing down”...

This game is why we throttled back the tempo. We needed to practice running clock while still executing to our expected standard this season. We knew we would likely need it to beat Bama, and that was a masterful decision by the coaching staff to ensure that wasn’t going to be our first time all season running clock.

I've been saying the same thing. You could see it when we played Auburn. Folks were upset we didn't go for the jugular and score. Being able to control the clock to march downfield can counter the opponent's momentum. It also gives the defense a breather. Since the tempo has been toned down, the defense has forced more three and outs in my opinion.

The play of the game was the 3rd and 10 where the Bama dude came in right up the middle untouched and I don't know how Burrow got it out so quickly and a good enough pass for CEH to catch and miraculously get the 10 yards for the 1st.

Probably the play of our season thus far.

Refs. Jacked us on ball spot when CEH rolled on top of bama players and stretched out for first down, killed our drive and then bama started trying to come back. We should have had 1st down and kept rollin'.
