Rewatch thoughts on game

I think I could watch it 50 times in a row.
1. The opening drive fumble by Tua is mostly forgotten but that was a huge mistake. It was about to be 7-0 Tide.
2. Right from the start Chase torched Bama. Never stopped all game. Think he will be best pro of all the WRs in this game.
3. Burrow hit so many throws after moving in the pocket. Just amazing to watch. His one flaw in this game was he did take a couple sacks when he should have just thrown it away.
4. Devonta Smith. Nothing but respect. I hate he plays for Bama but he’s incredible to watch.
5. The rest of the Bama WRs underwhelmed IMO. Several drops and mostly no impact on the game.
6. Clyde made so many plays. The shoe-string catch was probably the most important, but his spin out of a big hit and then walking in for a TD was huge. His final TD he also broke several tackles. I piled on this kid early this year. I was wrong.
7. The Defense held Bama to 7 pts first half. Without the communication mishap it might have been 0. Really good performance early on.
8. Bama is world class so giving up points/yards is expected. That being said, there were at least four 3rd and 10-20 yards that we let Tua just stand there until the first down was open. A couple of those kept them in the game. I don’t get not bringing pressure.
9. Going to miss Jefferson if he leaves.
10. For the rematch crowd, Playing Bama again is no more difficult than playing Ohio State, Clemson or Oklahoma. Would love a Pac 12 school. If we do play Bama again, it will be another thriller. There is no adjustment to stop our offense. Bama can play better than the first half. It would be close.
Anyways that’s most of what I got. Incredible game.

How do you figure? It was 3rd and goal from the 6 and we were tackling him at the 5.

Good call. Thought it was 2nd down. Either way it was a momentum changer from the start. Bama seemed to be shook for the rest of the half.

the entire 2nd half play calling on defense was perplexing ..
it was like aranda wanted to prove Tua could throw with accuracy with his limp vs forcing the issue.

My big takeaway on rewatch was Danielson could not shut up about Bama.

As much as I hate Danielson, I think it’s pretty clear that CBS and SEC want to push for 2 teams from the conference in the playoff.

What is it with Aranda defense that every team goes through LSU defense in their first possession easily? It doesn't matter if they are Texas, NWS, Vandy, or Alabama.

Also Cade York’s FGs were crucial

Great point. I was shocked when he came out for the first one. I thought trust had been lost.
