I like Brando but completely disagree with many of his proposals for tinkering with the system. 6,8, or more teams is not the answer. I also don’t think all conference champs belong in the fray either. Automatic qualifiers will lead to 6-4 teams playing for a Natty.

It's 8 or 2 for me. If we're gonna hold teams accountable for conference champs, then move to 8, so every AQ conference has a seat at the table.
If conference titles don't matter, then go back to the BCS and let the best two teams fight it out. Never thought I'd prefer the BCS to a playoff, but if Bama keeps getting this privilege, the only solution is to retract.

I don’t get the “expand the playoff argument. Make the conference championships round one. Makes no sense that a team without winning their division can play for the national championship.
