La La Land definitely won't reach my top 20 list - there are just too many better movies though the overall movie quality in the last decade sucks

Such an ambitious project. Very interesting watch. Filming a movie over the years of the growth of an actual child--it's compelling before you watch the first frame. It's imperfect, but effective.
