They were discussing the Dimon interview on CNBC this am.
Seth Hanlon from the Center for American Progress (an ex-Obama guy) was invited on. He was spewing the typical socialist income inequality screed. They tore him up.
First, one of the anchors asked what Dimon should be paid. Hanlon ducked the question.
The host then told Hanlon 3 world series pitchers this year made more than Dimon. Proceeded to layout Dimon's responsibility, contributions, successes, 200,000 employees, etc. vs a pitcher. Hanlon was speechless.
Then Kernan then piled on. Stated Leslie Stahl probably made 50-100 times the income of the people writing the questions she asked Dimon. He asked Hanlon what Leslie Stahl should make? What cap should be placed on her income. Hanlon countered with false assertions about JPMorgan's board, and got torn up again.
Kernan came back and said there are actors who make $25-30million/movie. Asked what is more valuable to society, Jamie Dimon or an actor pretending to be Jaime Dimon? Hanlon was left with nothing but a JoeScarborough smirk.
Well done.
