I’ll probably still get it. I’m more mad about the lack of response from gamefreak and the fact that they essentially forced me to play the game the way they want me to. If you’re going to delete Pokémon, fine. Just don’t give us a bullshite response like balance issues and act surprised people are mad when you delete everyone’s teams they’ve used for years.

100% agree. What they should do is make another game similar to Pokemon Battle Revolution on the Wii (which wasn't developed by GF), where you can store all of your Pokemon and battle with all 1000 of them online in crisp HD and with good battle animations. Because at this point, the story mode of the last few Gens has been so stale, not to mention a complete lack of post game.

After beating Shield, I enjoyed it, but when you compare it to Gens 3-5 which IMO are the cream of the crop of the franchise, it lacks in so many areas. At this point, it's very disappointing since they made some much needed QOL improvements for the meta yet they got rid of so many Pokemon. Really makes zero sense. I will likely skip the next game even if it is a Gen 4 remake, and I can only hope they do what I suggested in the first paragraph. At this point, that's the only thing that would get me back into the franchise, since the story, characters, and writing are all so bland. Such a shame really.
