the commonality of this are the "ok Boomers" who think millennials are 40-12 yeas old.
Well it is typically defined by a wide range of birth dates.
quote:
Millennials are defined by the US Census Bureau as people born between 1982 and 2000, although there are other definitions. Generation Z is the subsequent cohort.
Before millennials, there was Generation X, then the Baby Boomers, then the so-called Silent Generation who were growing up during World War II.
Even the Pew Research Center's attempt to come up with better guidelines leaves a wide range that seems wholly inappropriate given the changes from the 80s to the 90s.
quote:
The Silent Generation: Born 1928-1945 (73-90 years old)
Baby Boomers: Born 1946-1964 (54-72 years old)
Generation X: Born 1965-1980 (38-53 years old)
Millennials: Born 1981-1996 (22-37 years old)
Post-Millennials: Born 1997-Present (0-21 years old)

Correct.
But no 12 year old is a millennial.
