Of course Terrence Malick has to be mentioned *rolls eyes*
Maybe I just didn't "get it" but that movie was difficult to watch and follow. Guess I'm not an art house movie kind of guy.

This X 100. Every time someone posts some love song about him I always post that every movie of his is like this...

Rain drop on leaves

Narrator/Actor: "I am here"

close up of an eye

"are you here"

Dinosaurs

"are we here"

baby in the womb

"can you hear me"

actor walking with feet in water

"can you feel me"

beautiful landscape in fast motion from sunrise to sunset

"are we one? or are we not even a thought?"

dead animal fast motion rots into maggots into dust

"are you mine?"

The same can be said for most of Malick’s films.

No doubt they are beautifully shot but god damn if they aren’t almost all boring as hell.
