Because all the media did not like the fact that once the formula was set at the beginning of the year, they could not change the narrative.
The College Football media loves to change the rules during the season. Hot team and player at the beginning of the season is the flash in the pan at the end of the season.
For example, the guy from Ohio State, Chase Young, has a great game against a relatively weak Wisconsin team. Now Ohio State is the most complete team; this is the new narrative. Truth is basically Ohio State has played the equivalent of 8 Texas A&M or worse teams. No one has had the athletes that could stress Ohio State yet this year. Burrow or Tua would throw for 300+ and multiple touchdowns on that defense. LSU or Bama could scheme double teams on Young and would dominate them. They do not have the CBs and LBs that both LSU and Bama have at this point.
