Android Auto and Ford Sync 3

Just bought a new vehicle and the Android Auto drops out after a few minutes and the only way to get it connected again is to unplug and replug.
I googled and it seems to be a pretty common problem but I haven't found any solutions.
Had anyone found one?
Pixel 2 and F150 if it helps.

Try a new cord first. When i first started using android auto every 10 mins it would disconnect. After a couple weeks I swapped cords and it fixed it somewhat.
Since the cord change i still have this issue once every couple of weeks (2018 sierra). I either have to unplug and replug or go into my vehicle settings, and force it to reconnect android auto.
I'm sure you already have but make sure you're on the latest release of android auto. In the settings there is an option to use the "new version" which is beta maybe try it off and on see if you have better luck.
I'd also make sure your infotainment system in the truck is fully updated. For us GM owners we must connect our vehicle to WIFI and go into the settings and check for software updates. I'm unsure how ford does this or if they even do it.
Other than this one issue....I'v been really enjoying it in my truck.

Android Auto is a giant pile of trash.

Android Auto is a giant pile of trash.
Amazon Music HD offers lossless audio in two quality ranges: HD and Ultra HD.
If you haven't tried it yet, it's really nice.
HD tracks are 16-bit audio, with a minimum sample rate of 44.1 kHz (16/44.1 is also referred to as CD-quality), and an average bitrate of 850 kbps. Ultra HD tracks have a bit depth of 24 bits, with sample rates ranging from 44.1 kHz up to 192 kHz, and an average bitrate of 3730 kbps.

I wouldn't say that.
95% of the time it works fine for me besides some small quirks.
I dont ever see it being perfect however. It does have to adapt to a wide variety of phone manufactures and even vehicle makes and models. Not including the app devs also have to work with it. Some issues are from the apps themself.
I primarily use waze with it in my 18 sierra. The only small issue is a button overlap while using it for directions (app issue). The google maps with satellite imagine work flawlessly too. I have spotify and that too works great besides the menu for it being a little funky which is ok because its easier for me to just pick the phone up and select what i want or ask google assistant.
GOAT is google assistant it just works for me hands down. Controls most the apps.

As much as I agree Android auto has its problems It's the car manufacturer infotainment systems that suck!
