That is a very generic statement to make when you have no idea what kind of service OP is providing

For Example: I know someone who does wedding flowers - typically gets 1/3 of the total fee as her profit after costs / labor and can pretty much book as much as she wants throughout the year.

You think OP is even asking the question if going from $400.85 to $500 is common practice for whatever it is he's doing?

A little common sense goes a long way.
