Because at this moment he hasn't proven enough to be offered an OC job at a major school. He's currently the passing game coordinator and really did a good job coaching up the wide receivers but he hasn't worked with QBs. He isn't the play caller, that would be Ensminger. He's never been a play caller. One year as a passing game coordinator at LSU, one year as a Grad Assistant at Penn state, and one year as offensive analyst at the New Orleans Saints isnt enough to get a major job offer at OC. Hes only been a coach or analyst for 3 years at this point. Second, he'll be offered a pay raise at LSU and possibly be offered the opportunity to take over as OC a few years down the road.

Are you for real? An opportunity to take over a few years down the road??

You act like he's our charity case or something, like we're doing him a favor.

He's been a huge reason behind the offensive turnaround and Woodward knows that. He'll get everything he wants this offseason, OC title and a huge pay increase. I'd bet anything on it.

What’s Evian spelled backwards Sofia??

“Might have a chance at OC years down the road” Makes you either Naive or a FOOL? Teams (college AND pro) are salivating at anyone who can run a modern style offense. Brady turns a pinto into a Ferrari in 9months and you’re gonna sit HERE and tell us he’s gotta sit back and pay his dues bc nobody is gonna take a shot at him.

Again, are you NAIVE...or a goddamn FOOL

THANK god Woodward is our GM and not Sofia

Joe Brady is a special talent and is the reason for our offensive success this season. Period!! You are a fool if you think Ensminger and O had this play book in their binder or cedar chest.

All that politically correct crap you wrote above is like shite from the Dems during the 2016 election. Well, Trump won, so screw your crap above similar to the polls prior to that election. Brady's offense was not expected to lead the NCAA early on in PPG, passing, etc, like Trump's economy and highest stock market total ever, like the lowest unemployment rate, defeat ISIS quickly, etc

Your first sentence is stupid. Surely glad you are not our AD because with your thinking of not offering Brady a hefty raise would be met by 10 offers at minimum $1.2m per year before you could blink an eye. Brady makes $400,000 per year now until March 2022, where old man Sullivan was making $450K. That is laughable. Woodward will make him OC after this year with a pay raise to $1.5m. Why that number?

He will get $50,000 more than the top Offensive assistant coach, who get this, is not even an OC. The top 10 assistants in college football are 1. Aranda at $2.5m and 10. Todd Grantham at $1.4m, and 9 of them are Defensive Coordinators, and the lone offensive guy is Pep Hamilton- Michigan Passing Game Coordinator/QB Coach who makes $1.45m per year. So, Woodward will pay Brady $1.5m per year for 5 years until 2024. He may even get up to $2m as he is worth it compared to what some of these def coord are making and where their units rank.

There will be some clauses in his contract if the offense keeps ranking in the top 10 in NCAA stats, then that will trigger more money, or possibly Head Coach in waiting to keep him at LSU. However, O is only 58 which is young for a coach and he will not retire until min 65 or more.

LSU is 5th in total coaches salaries among NCAA football teams and the only reason is O accepting a smaller salary to pay Aranda crazy money. If LSU wins the natty and O gets average of top 5 money, plus we pay Brady $1.5-2m, then we will be top 3 combined salary with Clemson and Bama. If that happens O will be making around $7.5m per year and be deserving of turning LSU around after Les Miles final years. He would also be making more than Gus Malzahn ($6.8m) and about the same as Jimbo Fisher ($7.5m).

Coaches in the top 10 in pay other than 1. Swinney ($9.3m) 2. Saban ($8.5m) from the SEC or who we have played are 4. Jimbo ($7,5m), 5. Kirby Smart ($6.8m), 6. Gus M ($6.8m), 7. Tom Herman ($6.75m) and 10. Dan Mullen. O has consistantly beat Malzahn, just beat Herman and Mullen and has LSU as the sexiest team in the land and he deserves $7m per year money among his peers he has beaten.

Reason I went on and on is if we keep Aranda a $2.5m, pay Brady $1.5-2m, and LSU wins it all to trigger coach O making beaucoup of bank around $7m, then we will be top 3 if not the highest total paid coaches, and I have no problem with that if we are a top program and make it into the playoffs 2-3 times per 5 years, or 5-10 years
