One of the Northshore's most popular parades likely won't roll in 2020.

The reason? A dispute between Mardi Paws organizers and the City of Mandeville over the route.

Parade organizers want to end the parade where it usually does at Girod Street.

But Mandeville Mayor Donald Villere told the krewe to extend the route to Lafitte Street, which is the next block over, to include more businesses.

Mardi Paws founder Denise Gutnisky said that is not feasible. Villere said the parade cannot roll, unless it ends an extra block further.

As of today, Mardi Paws will not roll in Mandeville in 2020.
