I get the neighborhood kids vs those who aren’t.
It’s one thing if it’s a 4 year old kid and their parents are out walking around with them - hey they may be a young couple new to a city and living in an apartment right near by while getting a feel for the area before buying/building a home. Those are fine.
Now the shithead teens who obviously got dropped off with little to no costume on just looking to take advantage of as many well off neighborhoods as they can can frick right off.
Trick or treating is for 6th graders and below. 7th and 8th graders go to some school or town social event. High schoolers go to someone’s house party or walk a younger sibling around but you aren’t there for your own candy.
Special needs kids are exempt from the above rules.
People need to learn and follow the social contract. Assholes who farm good neighborhoods for free candy are the assholes on the interstate going 60 in the left hand lane in a 70 limit area, change lanes without signaling or turn into traffic and poke their asses along. They wait until after their groceries are completely rung up to get their payment method out. They wait until the get to the front of the concession line to figure out that they want a medium coke and large popcorn just like the last 37 times they went to the movies.
We live in a society people, we’re not cavemen.
