Wow man, a ton to digest. There’s a lot going on in this movie and I feel like this will require a ton more people seeing it multiple times to catch most stuff.
The movie looks amazing and sounds spectacular I’m not sure if I like the boxi aspect ratio though. The movie is grimy and disgusting. A whole lot of just “these people look so miserable” scenes.
The story.....is different. I can’t tell how deep it really is. There’s a whole lot of not being able to tell what’s real and what’s what. But it is a lot of two men yelling at each other a lot and trying to one up each other.
This reminds me of The Shining, Midsumar, and War of the Roses just in how the movie plays out.
Despite what other people are saying, I’m a little torn on the acting. It’s so over the top all the time. It’s hard to know what’s comedic and what’s super serious but insane. The actors do a great job but it’s just a lot to take in. Robert Pattinson’s accent drifts the entire movie. That may be international though.
Some people will not like it. I want to watch it again after taking a college course on what the frick actually happened in that movie.

I've been looking forward to it for months. Unfortunately, it's not yet released anywhere near me. :(

I intentionally went in blind to this. Didn't watch trailers. Don't know if that hurt me or helped me. It honestly wasn't what I was expecting. I think a lot of this is rooted in mythology, so I wasn't able to pick up on as much as I should've. Definitely feels like a letdown compared to The Witch on first impression.
