I agree, there is no reason for the testimony to be done in secret, other than to prevent it turning into an opportunity to grand stand for the public.
You could prevent that by just not allowing the media in, no reason that members of congress should not be allowed.
Addition: I didn't think he seemed nervous, he just wanted to make sure glasses guy was clear.

I find it shocking that my post saying there is no reason for the testimony to be done in secret, and that the Fox news host wasn't nervous just thorough is getting down voted.
