Rewatched the game and a couple things stood out...

A few things I didn’t take note of live:
1. Queen jumped off the screen at me. Several times he ran past his own guys to get to the ball carrier first. He will be special next year
2. Cam Danzler for MSU is very good. Guy was all over the field. Blitzed, played great coverage several times. That guy should be drafted high.
3. We struggled in bunch formations. They’d blitz when we bunched and our routes just took too long.
4. We didn’t commit to running in the red zone. On those third downs inside the 5 we could have walked in on a draw or qb draw. Also a designed roll out for burrow. He seems to love rolling right in the red zone.
5. Stingly now has the respect of the league. Guy was no where to be found. They wanted no part of him

6. Lots of missed facemasks by the zebras
7. A root canal without anesthesia is still preferable to hearing Gary's voice

I'll nitpick and point out he was beat inside on the 3rd and 15 and probably would have given up the 1st down but Stevens bailed him out
But yeah, he's going to be special.

One more thing is an Eric Monroe sighting...wonder if he was maybe hurt or serving a suspension the first half of the year and that’s why he was never mentioned...

In this same vein, we need to see more read-option looks when defenders are obviously selling out on the RB. Several times in short-yardage situations last week the LB and DE would just crash on the RB as soon as they saw the hand-off start to develop.
Joe would carve it up if they give him the option to make a read.

Got to think they’re trying to keep him healthy. He’s definitely smart enough to read that and they’re not wanting him to carry the ball. I told my buddy yesterday I think people will be shocked if joe runs the 40 at the combine. I can see a high 4.7 or low 4.8 time

I get the logic. They're just going to have to dig a little deeper down the stretch.

Gary loves playing Referee. It’s obnoxious esp. when he’s going on and on and about it 3 plays after it happens..

I'm hardly a football expert, but I think Queen is probably our best linebacker.I know Philips has more tackled ,but Queen seems to be more aware

What might piss be off more than Gary’s voice is the fact cbs just acts like the game, replays, penalties, etc is there as second fiddle to their graphics. They miss so much stuff bc they’re showing some dumb graphic when there’s a penalty on the play only to come back to the field and it’s first and 10. They then say “uhh there was a penalty on that last play so it’s now first and 10”....mf’er I’m tuned in to see that penalty, the replay, etc not to see who has the most 7yd completions on 2nd &9 since 1997

loved it when the moo st. guy got called for PI on the second to last scoring drive and Gary starts babbling "I'd rather have not seen that called...." and his partner starts talking right over him in a booming voice setting up the next play

I had a root canal with no anesthesia and can verify, way more pleasant than Gary

The only reason he said that was because it was a ticky tac call. If a PI like that was called on LSU the conspiracy theorist would be out in full force. I’m glad the call was made but it was pretty much a chicken shite call.

Honestly, I think joe is faster than 4.7 forty. He's a long strider that eats up the ground.

At least two of the FG's we had to kick were a result of running CEH into a brick wall inside the 10. Don't say "...we didn't commit to running in the red zone."

It’s cool that you don’t know the difference between running it one time and committing to running it.
To each their own.
To each their own.

Can someone please post a link to rewatch the game?

agree 100%, I just loved it when his partner just jumped right in and cut the Tower of Babble off in mid babble
