I am an old school dago from New Orleans. You wear a suit to a wedding and a funeral and the only explanation needed is "fricking because, that's why."

Wife's uncle croaked about ten years ago in Pineville. He was a baptist or some such business and the funeral attendees took turns speaking a few words.

His SON stood and eulogized the man wearing a pair of black denim jeans and a #3 Dale Earnhardt long sleeve tee shirt. Wore all black in mourning I suppose.
